Senior Capstone - Unity Sports & Recreation Complex

For my senior capstone, I designed a sports facility. Unity Sports and Recreation Complex is an inclusive, community-centered sports facility. The facility fosters connection and physical and mental wellness. Unity is rooted in the values of unity and accessibility. The space is designed to support a diverse range of users, regardless of age, gender, background, and physical ability. This facility is designed to encourage physical activity, social interaction, and personal growth in a welcoming, inclusive environment. The design emphasizes a strong sense of belonging ensuring that all individuals feel supported. The materials were chosen to promote sustainability and ensure longevity without compromising comfort. The blue and gold color palette reflects the existing school colors. It weaves throughout the interior, symbolizing pride, tradition, and the identity of the community. This facility is a physical representation of the small-town community, providing equal opportunities for all athletes and community members.
